February Wrap Up

Painting
  Corks & Colors

I love working at Corks and Colors.  My boss is awesome, my co workers (although I rarely see them) are great and I get to paint and get paid for it all.  The other paintings below were parts of the wall mural I helped paint with Ashley Bolin for the boys room.  It was also tons of fun :)

The kids came to work with me one day.  They painted ceramic dolphins, Bella's is purple and Landon's is half blue and half red.

 Lego Class

Lego class is going so well.  3 of these pictures were taken on our "house" week.  The kids were asked to build a house after reading  The Best Place by Susan Meddaugh.  I loved all the house.  Some of the kids choose to work in groups.  I am impressed every week how well the kids work together.

Valentine's Day
The kids woke up to a heart shaped bagel with pink cream cheese.  We watched Charlie Brown's Valentine's day movie, we had lots of heart shape lunch items (yay for cookie cutters), we made Daddy a special Valentine's day picture, and had a a few heart shape things at dinner.  I didn't take pictures of all our Valentine Day events.  We had fun and always enjoy any extra excuse to love on each other.

Josh surprised me a few days before Valentine's day with a surprise date on the town.  We ate at Harry's and walked around downtown together.  Josh also got my tennis bracelet, he bought as my 21st birthday gift fixed.  About 5 years ago I broke it.  Due to the coming of a certain little boy, I forgot about getting it fixed and there always seemed like there was something better to spend money on.  I was so happy because I love my diamond tennis bracelet.
Happy Valentine's Day

Lots of dress up and Legos, as always, filled out February.  Snuggles, naps, some walks, and silly antics were also a big part of our February.

Gainesville December

Half of our December was spent in Gainesville.  It was filled with lots of Christmas cheer, giggles, outdoor explorations, and enjoying friends.  The kids and I were only in Gainesville for 2 weeks and then we packed up and headed to Niceville/ Fort Walton Beach and later Missouri for a month.

Build and Grow Gingerbread House/ Day Out with Mommy
See that little smile, see that little smily girl looking up at the at the top of the monkey bars? She climbed up to the top and back down to the other side all by her self.  I am officially afraid of heights.... now! SO scary and proud of my brave little adventure who has almost no fear.  Oh, I love both those cute kids a lot!

LEAVES! PILES OF LEAVES!  LOTS OF FUN!

This was a sad day despite all those handsome and silly smiles.  Mike, Vernine, Kayla, and Zach moved to Texas.  Although we are so happy for them and their new adventures. Their absences has left a hole in our hearts.  We will miss then all dearly.  Thank you Blaszczyk family for being great friends who have stood by us and shown us over and over again God's love and compassion.

Books- this little lady loves books!

We made life-size "gingerbread men" our of some butcher paper.  The kids loved it!

MOPS Christmas Party- the cookie decorating was my kids favorite part I think.

This little man of mine loves to tell stories, and I love watching him tell them to me.  This particular story lasted almost 15 minutes and it was about robots.

It is beginning to look at lot like Christmas....

everywhere you go.....

Merry Christmas!!! Love the Williams Family

Sleeping Beauty

While watch Sleeping Beauty recently.  Landon was all cuddled up with me, during the scene were Aurora is singing with all the animals (in the beginning of the movie). Prince Phillip rides near and hears her singing.  Landon and I then have this conversation...
L: Mommy I to meet one, her.
M: One what?
L: A princess that sings to the animals and are friends with birds.  I want to meet her. I want a red bird too. I want us to have birds together.
M: So you want to meet a princess?
L: Just her, one that like the woods and birds.
M: Well she is just pretend but I am sure there are lots of little girls who like animals.
L: I want to marry one.  I want to be the prince and have a horse but a black one.  I like black.  A black horse, a princess, and a red biird. and a blue bird, and owl.
And then goes off on how all the birds are related.  I couldn't follow that part as well but there were lots of relation between the all the bird we saw.  I think maybe all of them were related but the owl.  ;)

M: so you want to marry a princess? who likes birds?
L: yes, can I?
M: Well, sure but I bet who ever you decide to marry will be a princess to you.  You just need to treat her like one and you will be her prince.
L: Is that what Daddy did?
M: Yes, he treats me like his princess. ;)
L: That is what I will do.  I still want a red bird.

I thought that was such a cute conversation.  Sweet and scary.  I want him to grow up and be happily married but never thought he would think about it already.  ;)

Sleepy time sweetness

While saying good night to Landon...
Landon: Mommy, I can sleep by myself because I am a big boy but I want to cuddle with you tonight.
Me: Why is that?
Landon: Because you are the sweetest Mommy (eyes get really big and comes closer to my face) I have ever had seen in the whole world! (then lays his head on the pillow with a sweet smile) And that is why I need to cuddle with you.

Who can argue with a request like that!?!

Mother Son Date Knight

Chic-Fli-A had an event recently.  Mother Son Date Knight.  It was really a great experience.  Landon helped me pick out my outfit and his.  We both wore orange-his favorite color.  I painted my nails and prettied my self up for my handsome date.  We joined the Bolins so the Daddies could care for the little ones while Ashley and I took our little men out on a date.  Matt and Josh took the boys to get us flowers while Ashley and I finished getting ready.
Once there we let the boys play on the indoor playground while we waited for our reservations.  We were able to see our friends Julie and Ben, who had reservations before us.  Landon and Ben were very excited to see each other.
Chic-Fli-A did a tremendous job of making a fast food place feel fancy.  They decorated a corner of the restaurant and put table clothes down.  We were even served our food at the table with fancy plastic plates.  They had a hostess who greeted you at the area reserved for the date night.  She had the boys pick out flowers for their mommies and also were give a sword and surcoat with a Chil-fli-a coat of arms on it.  It was really nice.
We were served our food.  It was yummy, as always, but I do love Chil-fli-a.  The Cow came around to all the tables to knight the boys.  Landon said "Hi cow!  You are not a real cow.  You are just someone dressed up as a cow."  That sent our whole table laughing and the cow "crying."  Since we were the last group, the boys were able to spend some time with the cow.  The camera guy was really great.  He was so patient with the boys there plus took great pictures.  He also had a sword fight with Landon and Noah.  They loved it!
We had a fantastic time!  I am looking forward to more date nights with my sweet boy!

Dear Friends, please read

This month we, especially me, have really been amazed by some of our friends.  I have always had friends, even great friends.  I feel like as you get older friends, or how you have friends, changes.  You get a job, get married and have children. Some people don't depend on their friends as much.  I don't know if that is me, but friends aren't always who I go to first.  I have an amazing man who I call my best friend and who is also my husband.  We tell each other everything... I really mean everything.  We share everything from our deepest secrets to our most meaningless event of the day, sometimes that means we stay up until 2am talking.  I also have 2 little loves that take most of my time, energy and thoughts.
I  have generally never been one to ask for help or seek out a friend when I am in need.  But you know what makes a great friend..? the ones who are there for you even when you don't ask and maybe don't even know you need them.  Isn't that what truly makes a real "friend" anyway?

  I have that.

Not just one, but several.

I think they know who they are- I hope so.  I hope they know by how I can actually ask them for help (which is something I almost never do- I don't like it. It is a pride thing and I am trying to get over it, but it is hard).  I hope they know because they have encouraged us.  I hope they know because they have seen tears of sadness, pain, and gratefulness.  I hope they know because of smiles they have seen in times when smiles wouldn't have been possible without them.  I hope they know even though we might not talk every day, week, or month we can still get together and it be as if not much times has past since we saw them.  Maybe everyone has GREAT friends, even lots of great friends- but I think that's probably not true.  I think people have friends, who they get along with, and do fun things with.  Maybe they have great friends and don't even know it because their friends never were given an opportunity to shine.
My friends who have been there for me, us, this month, past months, and I am sure in the future- please know you are treasured in my heart.  You have made a difference in my life, and my family's life. I know I could never repay you or express what it means to me.  So thank you for being there and making a huge difference.

And thank you, my Heavenly Father, for times that may be difficult because through them I would never know how blessed I truly am.

April Roundup

April was a busy month...well it seems like life is just really busy these days.  Lots of good family and friend time.  We have the most amazing family and friends and are so thankful for those in our lives.

Some of the more excited and fun events that I also happened to capture with a snapshot are below.

Date Night with the love of my life, a man who I see growing in God every day and am truly blessed to be married too. P.S. I even painted my long finger nails.  If you don't know me you may not realize I never have long nails and they haven't been painted since maybe 11th grade in High school (with the one exception of the manicure for my wedding).Thank you Grandpa Williams and Aunt Jamiie for coming down for the weekend and watching our children for a night ;)

Some fun around the house and outside.  Picking strawberries, playing dress up, and being silly.

Said good-bye to our friend and future sister in law, as she moved to Tallahassee.

Brother and sister love

Josh and I love our sibling and loved being the big brother or sister.  We are so happy to see that Landon is already loving his role.  Landon is so sweet with his little sister.

Some of the sweetest things is when he hears her cry even when he is asleep he pats her, he always wants to give her kisses and wants to make sure that mommy and daddy give her kisses, and he reads and sings to her all the time.

We are so thankful for our sweet blessing!

Why being a mommy of two is awesome...

My smiley girl
I have never seen such a young baby smile as much as she does

My silly boy
He has an awesome imagination and love to dress up.  Just about every night after a bath he wants to dress up in his hat, socks, and mittens and makes up some story about it being cold.

The best of all...

That is why being a mommy is awesome!!!

My Sweets for Valentine's and one week old

Here are a couple of pictures of two of my sweets for Valentine's this year.

Sibling love is awesome!

Arabella was also one week old on Valentine's Day.  She is doing so well. She is a super happy content baby.  She nurses and sleeps great! I am very thankful for her because with a 2.5 year old I don't know what I would do otherwise.  Also Josh has had to work at least a half day every day since she has been born.

On Friday after she was born I took her to the pediatrician for her check up so they could check on her jaundice since she was a little jaundice the day we left the hospital   The doctor was very happy with her progression and said she had not seen many babies return to their birth weight by that time even when they are formula feed.  So I guess she really is a good eater!

Landon adores her and takes great care of her.  He will even stop crying when he gets upset(most of the time) if he knows it is bothering her.  He talks to her and gives her kisses when I change her diaper.  He pats her back with me when I am done nursing her.  He also holds her hand or puts his hand on her while we are reading books.  I love it.  Being the oldest in my family and seeing Landon just reminds me how much I loved being a big sister.  It is amazing how this tiny little person can come into our lives and my heart grows for her but also it makes me love my son more, my husband more, my brother and my mom.  Arabella has blessed us so much and even though we would love her just as much if she wasn't just an easy going baby it just makes life so much easier to enjoy.

Landon wanted to show is new little sister how much fun it is to play in a tent
