Landon's Room (Almost finished)

We have been SLOWLY working on completing Landon's room.  We have waited to find things for free or on sale (maybe things needed a coat of paint and some times so other little fixes)  so it takes a while.  Here are the pictures so far.

Helping Daddy paint the GREEN wall

This is the one wall that I think is completely finished.

Landon has 3 yellow walls and the one green wall.  We bought this dresser and another one for $20.  This one was really dirty and a weird olive green color with contact paper over parts of it in a green wood grain.  It looks pretty bad.  With some sanding, two coats of paint( that we already had) and new painted pull handles (they came off another dresser we had gotten free but was falling apart).

This is the fabric for Landon's curtains.  I have only finished one so far.
One of my favorite things about Landon's room is that he loves it so much.  He sees anything that is a bright green or a soft yellow and he says, "match Landon wall."  He calls his room the bug bed room. I found the fabric on sale at Jo-Ann's when they were going out of business.  As well as the fabric for the curtains.  Landon really loved being able to paint the walls with Daddy.  I think he helped on each of the walls, but the green one is his favorite.

July Recap

Ladies/ Mom's Weekend

A group of friends, mostly moms, planned a weekend away in Orlando.  I only went for Saturday but still had a lot of fun.  The weekend was kinda of centered around once of the movie releases in the Twilight book series.

Breman's House

We joined the Farrow's at the Breman's for breakfast and so the guys to help build a fence for the Breman's sheep.  The ladies made the super yummy big breakfast of waffles, scrambled eggs (mostly fresh eggs), bacon, fruit, homemade whip cream, and I am sure there was more but I can't remember it all.  The guys worked really hard on the fence and the kids (all boys, in all 3 families!) had fun playing on the farm and in the water.  Here are a couple of pictures of the boys playing.

Some fun Pictures of Landon

Hard at Work

Grandpa Gorman is always telling Landon and Daddy to wear safety goggles when they are working.  Landon apparently remembered the lesson because a week after visiting, Landon wanted to "fix" one of his toys.  He kept asking for his sunglasses.  I didn't understand why, but he was persistent and asking very nicely so I went out to the car and got them.  Once he had them he said, "Glasses, fix tools" and then with a very big nod yes and a  very serious look he said "Grandpa."  This kids amazes me what he remembers and does!

Landon loves insects.  He room is actually a pond/bug theme and he LOVES it. Daddy found a Stag Beetle so he brought it in to show Landon.  Landon was scary of it at first but after a little while of watching it crawl on Daddy he got over it.

Touch... but only a quick one

He would only hold it if it was on this star

A visit home (Fort Walton Beach/ Niceville) with lots of suprises and fun! (July)

In case you missed our last blog post, we had big news to share with our families and Jon was coming down for a long visit so we made a week trip home to visit.

Fun with Bubbles

Landon is so spoiled :) Grandma and Grandpa got him a bubble making machine!

Independence Day Celebration at the Fort Walton Beach Landing...
Grandpa Williams is singing!

Landon and I joined the Williams family at the Landing (Josh was still stuck in Gainesville at the point working) ) for the Independence Day Celebration.  Grandpa Williams  joined the Emerald Coast Barber Shop Choir in on of the days events.  Unfortunately, it did rain while we were there but only long enough to get everyone really wet and cool us all down.  Funny thing was it happened when on of the performers was singing a song about it raining!  The show went on!  We just tried to enjoy the cool rain and then continued to enjoy the day.

Watching Grandpa W sing
Jeremiah tried out the pull up bar set up by the Marines.  He did quite a few and won a couple of things.  GO J!

Meeting Merry

Jon came down to see everyone.  He had been deployed in Afghanistan for several months.  For those of you who don't know he is in the Marines.  He also brought his girlfriend, Merry (BIG NEWS, BIG NEWS.... who he just recently become engaged too as of the end of August!  They are Getting Married November 27th!!! We are so happy for them and wish them many blessing!)

Merry, Jon, Jeremiah, and Sally

The BIG Reveal

We had a big family holiday lunch at my parents house (yay, their house is finally finished being remodeled from top to bottom!)... little did they know we planned it so Landon could share is BIG news with the whole family at the same time.

The funniest thing was no one even noticed his shirt for the first 10 minutes.  Silly Uncle Jon did (he told us afterward) but he thought it was just a hand-me-down shirt and we had run out of clean shirts for him.

Hanging out before lunch
Look, I am riding an elephant!

Finally Grandma Gorman realized it when Josh told Landon to show her his shirt.  I don't think she even believed it when she read it.  "Does Landon know something I don't know?"  Yes, Krystle and Josh are having Baby Williams #2!!!!!

Landon pointing to his baby brother or sister

Pool time was a fun part of the big family lunch.
Landon showed off to everyone, this little boy knows how to swim under water! He can't come up for air on his own so his still need someone there but he was quite proud of himself, as were all of us!

Landon knows how to swim!!!!!

Jon turned 22 a few days after he left, so we celebrated his birthday while he was down.

 Landon's new favorite thing: coloring!!!

Josh, Landon and I are so blessed to have a big, loving family that live so close to each other.  It is great not having to choose which family to visit when we can afford time to travel and Josh can get time off.  With both Josh and I being such family people I don't know what we would do if we had to limit the time with one or the other.
