A few additions to Landon's room

Here are a few art projects I had done in January for Landon.
I painted these for Landon just before Arabella was born.
A leaf bug, brown recluse spider, dragonfly, and stag beetle

Our MOPS craft project in January, a cork board made from a ceiling tile, but I just recently finished it.

Whitlock's Visit to Gainesville!

The Whitlocks came in town this past Sunday to visit for a bit before heading down to Orlando for Isaac's 3 birthday.  He is a lucky little man and gets to spend his birthday at Disney World's Magic Kingdom!

Happy Birthday Isaac!!!!

Jimmy, Katie, Isaac and Baby Jovie came to church services at Harvest.  Landon was excited to see his friend in the toddler room during service.  Several friends stayed after church and we all had lunch and spent some time talking, playing outside and playing a round of "What if?"  It was a lot of fun and we treasure any time we get to spend with such great friends.

MOPS Firehouse visit

Our Fire House #4 Visit
My MOPS group had a field trip to one of our local fire house stations.  Landon and Zach had a blast!  They were so excited.  Landon talked about fire trucks the whole way there and they both talked about saving people, firemen, and fire trucks the rest of the day.

Landon's good friend Ben, his mom (one of my good friends), Julie and her new little girl Charlotte also came.  Landon was very excited to see another one of his friends.  They held hands a lot of the field trip and there were lots of hugs too.  The fire fighters and fire house teacher were really great.  It was perfect for a mixed group of kids between a few weeks to 4 or 5 years old.

We saw Fireman Kevin suit up and the kids were able to give him a high five and have their picture taken with him.  Landon was VERY talkative with the firemen and women.  He talks all the time at home but is normally quiet when we are out especially with people he doesn't know.  Not here, he was telling the firemen all kinds of stories about fire trucks and police men and so on.

The firehouse had a call while we were there.  They were actually about to let the kids get in the truck.  They had us quickly get on the grass and they all piled in their truck sirens on and rushed to helps someone.  It was pretty neat other than the fact there was an emergency.  Apparently, an ambulance got to the site first and the firetruck was able to return quick enough for everyone to have a chance to tour the inside of the big truck.  While they were gone, the kids did get to sit in the Fire Chief's truck.  Landon was very excited since he had just asked one of the fire men if he could see the "little" fire truck.

The kids received a fire hat before leaving.  It was a great morning!  I am really glad I was able to take the boys.

36.5 week check up

37.5 weeks

My check up was quick.  We listened to the heart beat and I had my group B strep test.  Dr. Marichal didn't check my cervix this time because he won't stop labor at this point but didn't want to start anything by checking.
I have another appointment this Friday (2/4).  There have been lots of signs that labor is coming and we are ready to meet baby.  I have woken up this past week 4 times at around 3-4 am with strong contractions/Braxton Hicks.  They keep increasing in intensity but go away about 9am which is about an hour after I get up.  I am still having contractions/Braxton Hicks during the day but nothing that stays regular for more than an hour.

This time I have been having strong changes in my mood.  The last week or two I have gone from being in tears to angry to overly happy all for no reason in a matter of minutes.  Landon never did that to me.  It will be interesting to find out if it is just a different baby or if it has something possibly to do with the sex of the baby.  Only time will tell.  My wish is baby will come sooner than later but since I don't really get any say in the matter I will still keep waiting to meet my new little one.

Super Heroes

Josh had some old work shirts that I turned into rags recently.  Most of them were paint shirts so I cut out what I wanted for rags and planned on trashing what was left.  Before throwing them away I noticed some of them had "capes," and so I gave them to the boys for a few hours to play with.  They were some of the cutest super heroes I have ever seen.

34 weeks

Landon and Josh were able to come with me to my January appointment.  I was good timing for Josh to come with us because we had to wait for 2 hours!  I think Landon or I would have lost it if it was just the two of us. It had only been taking 30 minutes for the whole appointment, and that included walking to and from the parking lot most times.
Everything was good with Baby.  We were able to listen to the heart beat.  My blood pressure was back to normal! Dr. Marichal checked my cervix because I told him I have been having fairly painful and consistent Braxon Hicks.  As for now those practice contractions are just that because they have made my cervix dilated.  I am glad but at the same time I was surprise.  I never had anything like this with Landon until after I was induced.

Now, I am on the 2 week appointment schedule so I will be updating soon on how things are going.
