My dirty boy

Landon has been "helping" me with our little garden. So far we have cabbage, rosemary, oregano, thyme, and basil. Today we transplanted the oregano and basil to pots. Landon helped get the pot ready and experience dirt for the first time. I think he is going to love being a boy and playing in the dirt and hopefully we will be a good gardener. This whole garden experience is really a first for me since I have pretty much killed everything from cacti to potted flowers from bamboo to vegetables. I think Landon is my good luck charm! This is the first time anything has lived for more than 2 weeks!

illness and techology

Well Landon has been cover in meds from head to toe. He went to the doctor on Wednesday and he has/had an ear infection which he has to take a oral meds for twice a day (He HATES it, and because of that I hate giving it to him). He also has Eczema and a yeast infection so he has all different kinds of medicated creams to rub on twice or more a day. On top of all that he has had allergies or a cold. And then on Saturday, I came down with a HORRIBLE stomach bug. I was very close to going to the doctor/ER because I could not keep anything down the whole day and Landon was breastfeeding (because he refuses to take a bottle, or a cup with milk in it, If you give him water he loves it but not milk, go figure!). Luckily about 10pm I finally kept down the two small ice chips that I sucked on and it only got better from there. So far and we hope and pray it stays that way, Jamiie Jo (who is staying for 2 weeks), Josh and Landon have not gotten it. It was an amazing blessing that Jamiie was here because Josh had to work and when he left I wasn't feeling that great but I would have told him I was good for him to go to work but within a hour or two after he left it turned to VERY BAD. Thankfully Jamiie could take take of Landon as I stayed past out on the couch or bed except for the trips to the bathroom every hour or so.

In the mists of all the sickness and medications we have been going through here at the Williams house we managed to get a cute video of Landon playing with his favorite aunts and the computer. We would have gotten another great one but the camera battery died. So here is what we did get. We wish you all a healthy week!

Landon is so much fun. We are getting to enjoy more and more things together. We went to story time at the library which he loved. Books, songs and babies are on his top favorites! He has been also going to play dates with some of his friends. Landon loves going outside and playing with Bourbon and Chang. He always makes new friend when we go visit Mrs. Vera (who by the way is not doing well at all and needs lots of prayer for her recovery). The one bad things Landon seems to be trying out is not taking a afternoon nap, which means he only is sleeping for about 45 min in the morning and maybe 15 mins in the afternoon. I am praying this is not going to stick! It is very hard to get housework doing with him wanting all of my attention. I am glad I am so needed. One of the coolest things for Josh and I to enjoy is Landon has started trying to mimic some of the sounds we make and things we do. He has tried a couple of times to clap and wave when Daddy does. He isn’t very good at it but it is still really cute. He also as tried a couple of times to mimic sounds I make, like uh huh and grrr. I love it! I always knew I would love being a mom and it just keeps getting better.

A wedding and some catching up

Tammi a good friend from college got married this past weekend. It was such a beautiful ceremony, on the beach right before sunset. The reception was on the second story with a wall of windows looking out over the gulf so we could all see the sunset. Tammi was beautiful! It was so obvious how happy Tammi and Brian were!

After the ceremony we drove up to Orlando to spend the night and spend some time with Ashlee, Kimberly. It was so good to be able to visit with them. When Josh and I were in college it seemed like we were down in Orlando almost every month. Now some of our friends have left and we just don’t have the same free time to visit, it is disappointing that we don’t get down there much. We all stayed up until 2am talking and joking around. Ashlee and Kimberly took Landon in the morning so mommy and daddy got a rare occasion of sleeping in a little longer! We went out to brunch, unfortunately Kimberly had to work, but we did get to meet up with Saffy. She had not gotten to see Landon yet. After a yummy brunch we said our good bys and headed home.
