Bath time, Landon!

I have said how much Landon loves bath time, so I thought it would be a good idea to take a video. Jessica was over so she helped with the bath time fun.

Landon updates- 3 months

Landon is three months old! I can’t believe how time has gone by!! Landon holds his head up all the time now, unless he is sleepy. He can roll over from belly to back and is starting to work on the back to belly. He has found his feet which is the cutest thing! He concentrates so hard and then grabs them. He has the biggest smile when he gets them. Landon’s new favorite toy is his exersaucer and his bee. He loves sitting in his exersaucer and playing with the toys. Today he even moved his seat around by pulling with his arms. Landon’s feet barley touches the bottom. When I have his bee out he just starts babbling away. Everyday gets more fun to spend with him.

Landon’s stats at 3 months

Weight: 13lbs 5oz

Feedings: 6-8 a day

Night sleeping- bedtime 9:45ish, around 3-4 nurse, around 6 nurse/change diaper, wake up at 8:30-10

Naps: 2-4 naps about 1-2.5 hours long

Birthday girl and Gala

This is a little past due I never finished typing up the blog. Better late than never!

Our friend, little Dynah, turned 3 this past week. Saturday Josh, Landon and I went to help her celebrate her birthday. She had a great party at Kanapha Veteran's Park. Landon, unfortunately was too young to join in the festivities but he had a lot of fun watching the other kids play. He is so interested in other children. He seems to have a special liking for the girl babies. Uh Oh, this could be a problem in the future! ;o) Brandi, Dynah's mom made a cool cupcake cake. She makes the best cakes, good looking and yummy! The kids got decorate their own cupcakes with frosting and candies. There was also face painting and a table set up to make foam pictures frames. Since it was at the park there were lots of playground toys. I think the kids had a lot of fun. Happy birthday, Dynah!!!

On Sunday, I was in the Christmas Gala at our church. I told a story about a music teacher named Mrs. Moring and her students. There were also three other stories, told by Joel, Mrs. Lou, and Kevin. The stories were great! Afterwards there was a yummy dessert reception. I enjoy the Gala but I don't really like talking in front of people so I am glad it is over. I didn't get to see the Gala very well but it seemed to be successful.

Tonight!

Tonight, before dinner I was sitting on the floor with Landon. He was on his jungle floor gym on his belly.

After a about five minutes and a lot of cheering on from his Mommy and Daddy, Landon ended up like this!

That's right my little man rolled over!! Mommy and Daddy are so happy. We we both so excited afterwards. Only parenthood could make you excited that another person rolled over.

Thanksgiving and Blessings

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It is about thanking God for our blessings and spending time with family. Unlike Christmas it is not so commercialized or hectic. I have so much to be thankful for.

For Thanksgiving we went back home to visit with our parents. It is great having our parents live close together so we don’t have to pick which family to visit on holidays and vacations. We stayed with the Williams first. Besides sleeping a lot of Wednesday away (since we got in so late and I didn’t feel good), Josh helped his dad with house maintenance and repairs and I went shopping with Mom, Jessica and Jamiie Jo. We watched Miracle on 34th Street. That is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Most of us didn’t make it through the whole movie before we pasted out.

This year my parents were unable to make it over to the Williams’ house for Thanksgiving but my brother still came. We ate lots of yummy food. I made two pumpkin cheesecakes from scratch. I cut up and boiled a real pumpkin and with a little help from Jessica made a gram cracker crust. They came out pretty good. After the big meal we played a game of Geography Pursuit. Mom and Dad Williams won but my brother and I came in a very close second. It is a pretty cool game. I had never played it before. It is from 1987 by National Geographic.

Friday, we went out shopping and to lunch with my parents. We went to the Gorman favorite, a little French cafĂ© on the water. Landon had so much fun looking at the water and walking on the docks. Landon did really well going to all the stores. Josh was able to meet up with his best buddy Chris that evening. Saturday Landon was able to meet his great aunt and uncle and 2nd cousin for the first time. We also went out shopping again. That evening I had to get the deposit recorded for North Burma Christian Mission so it could be deposited on Monday. Sunday was church, lunch and good-byes. We went to Josh’s favorite restaurant in the world and a top favorite of the Williams, a little Chinese restaurant in Niceville. Unfortunately, our 4.5 hour drive was was closer to 6.5 hours because of a horrible accident that was by our exit on I75 and backed up traffic all the way to 20 miles on I10 before I75. Boy was that a miserable wait. I always hate to see accidents around the holidays. It does make me remember to be thankful that I have my loved ones alive and well to celebrate the holidays with.

Landon had a great time celebrating his first big family holiday with the Gorman’s and Williams’. Enjoy the pictures!
