10 months

Our sleeping beauty

Our gator girl!

Arabella knows how to take advantage of a situation.  She picked up those leafs right as I was about to click the shot.  I think she knew I was trying really hard to get a shot in focus with my phone camera (my camera broke :( but during Christmas my brother fixed it!!!  Thanks again Adam!)

Back log: December

At her check up, Arabella weighed at 19.6lbs. The paper I had with the info got wet from a sippy cup and this was all I can remember :/

This little lady LOVES, loves, loves to eat.  Sometimes this little lady even out eats Landon(who is a pretty good eater).  It is a completely different experience for Josh and I because at this age Landon would eat the insides of cucumbers, mommy milk and that was all.  Well, maybe in his 10th month he decided he liked watermelon but you get the idea.   Bella, on the other hand, just wants to eat just about everything. She does get these ideas in her head that she doesn't like something but as soon as she will eat a bite she typically likes it.  Her favorites seem to be peas, carrots and any kind of soup. She even enjoys slightly spicy food. Arabella seems to know when someone has sweets and fights hard to get them.   Since she has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom and she does a really great job of chewing she gets anything that is easy to chew up.  Arabella thinks it is very funny to walk around with a bite half way in her mouth, which isn't the neatest or ladylike thing to do but it is cute seeing the look on her face.

Arabella is quite the talker.  It seems as if she tries to copy words we say all the time.  "Ball," "mama," and "dada," something like Landon and brother are her most frequent words and the ones she says the best. "More" is another one. "Boubon" for Bourbon our dog.  "Ca" for cat. "Dagie" for dog.  She doesn't sign as much as Landon, I think because she tries to talk more and we just aren't as good about encouraging her.  She signs "milk" for mommy milk and when she wants to eat. Sometimes she signs "more."

Bella walks most when no one but Landon and I are around but is getting more confident in front of people.

November 2011

November is a blur due to all of us being sick but I did want to share a few things....

Arabella started climbing in Landon's chairs at snack time.  She now  her snack is served while she is in a "big girl;" chair...just like her hero/idol/her big brother, Landon.

Landon has really gotten into Legos. We took Landon to a Lego event and received a free Cars 2 Torque.   Josh and I love it-both being Lego nerds ourselves growing up(landon is enjoying some of Josh's own Legos).  This is one of his own creations (his own idea and build by Landon) "Bulldozer Torque"

Bella has learned how to climb in the rocking chair and LOVES rocking in it.

Arabella has figured out the ball run we have, which is another favorite of hers.

Landon loves trains!  Landon and Grandpa Williams made an awesome crazy track for Aunt Jamiie and Uncle J's old train set.

Cave

Back log-DEvember
Landon asked me if I wanted to explore a cave. Our "cave" was the master bedroom with the lights out.

L: Don't worry I have a flashlight so we can see and be brave.
Heard Callie in other room.
L: "What it that?"
M: "A bear?"
L.: "No, Mommy. It is a dog, silly."

He shined flashlight on floor and around room. Found a little clump of hair from Bourbon.

***Now I hate that our dog sheds hairs balls that are big enough to look like a very small animal.  Although now I might think fondly of them after this, but just for a second ;)***

L:"It is a itty bitty baby baby bear. It is sleeping. Shhh."

Love this kid's imagination!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving was spend at "home" with our families.  Although November was mostly us being stuck in the house due to illness in my family we happened to see a small break in the severity of our sickness for Thanksgiving.  So although we were all coughing and had the occasional running nose we made it to Niceville/Fort Walton Beach and for that we are so thankful!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at the Williams house.  It was really nice having my parents, brother, Jon, Merry, and the newest Williams-Owen all there (we greatly missed Jessica, though).  Landon had lots of fun playing with Josh's and his siblings' old toys, especially the train set.  Arabella thoroughly enjoyed her first Thanksgiving.  She chowed down on just about everything.  She might have even out eaten her brother, shhh don't tell him that!  It was interesting seeing her around Owen.  Since Landon was about 6 months old he has always loved babies and was/is fascinated with them. But I could not hold any babies or then he was not fond of them to put it nicely.  Bella is not as intrigued.  I think she is actually suspicious of them.  She gave Owen some almost dirty looks but was mostly OK if I was holding him, unless of course she wanted to nurse.

I actually was in the kitchen quite a bit this year.
We had all our typical favorites-
Turkey- Dad Williams
Gravy- Me
Cranberry sauce- store bought
Green bean cassarole-me
Deviled Eggs- Mom Williams and Jamiie
Crescent rolls- Jamiie
 Creamed spinach- Dad Williams
Mashed Potatoes- Jeremiah
Stuffing - Dad Williams (I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I hate stuffing except for Josh's family.  I was watching some cooking show and I thought it was funny that in this guys opinion the way they make gravy is the only "right way" to make stuffing).
(I think that is all)

Pumpkin cheese cake x2- Me
Pecan Pie- store bought
Pumpkin pie - store bought
Ice cream

Aunt and Uncle

As of Nov 3rd, Josh and I FINALLY became an Aunt and Uncle!!!  WE are so super excited! Both of us being the oldest it took a while but now I feel more grown up.  Yes, I am silly but I do. ;)
Welcome Owen Douglas Williams!

Turning 9 Months

Back log Nov

I can't believe our little beauty is 9 months old!  She is on the move! She has teeth! She is a talker! Wow she is working hard to keep up with Landon!!

Standing steady and squatting Oct 13
First steps on Oct 22
2 tops teeth Oct 27
Lots of walking OCt28
Weekend of growing Oct 28th  Bella started walking, two front teeth poked through, started staying Mama, Dada, and ball.  What a weekend that was!

She loves balls, rocking on rocking chairs (She rocks on the one in the video multiple times a day!), following Landon around, and FOOD (pretty much everything but she loves peas, and veggies in general). She is bossy.  If she doesn't like what you give her to eat or don't do what she wants she will give you a dirty look and typically yell at you.  She is quite the sassy girl.  She might be sassy but she makes up for if with her cuddles.  She loves to cuddle.  We love it!
She has also started playing peek-a-boo.

Another absolutely adorable thing our Bella is doing is giving hugs and kisses. Not only does she give them per request but she will also give them when she desires too.  Boy, to we LOVE our affectionate little cuddle bug!

Tissue alert, tissue alert!!!

The month of Oct, Nov and Dec has been filled with runny noses, coughing, lots of tissues and snotty sleeves ew! I had to do something to get rid of all the nastiness. There was lots of rest, orange juice and love to help get the colds/ or whatever it was to go away. I kept telling Landon not to wipe his nose on his shirt.  Daddy, Grandma Gorman, Grandma Williams, Papa Gorman and Papa Williams also were joining with me in this fight against wiping noses on shirts. Nothing was working and my little sick boy was caked in snot by lunch time.
One time while we were playing Landon sneezed and I tried to get a tissue as fast a possible. In somewhat of a crazed mind(I did not want more snotty sleeves!) I just started yelling "tissue alert!! tissue alert!! Attention all tissues!! We need a tissue!!". Guess what that worked. Since I did that Landon has been much better at using tissues. He just starts yelling, "tissue alert!" He will do it if Arabella needs a tissue to, so it has turned out to be quite useful. I try to play games whenever I have a task for Landon. Sometimes it is hard to remember to make a game of it. You would think after reading books about caring and teaching children for about 6 years of schooling while getting my bachelors and masters I would have that stuff down but motherhood, although wonderful, sometimes makes you (well me) a little crazy and forget those little things that really make a big difference!

Fortune cookie

Nov 12
Josh took the kids to the playground.  Landon wanted a snack on the way there and he saw a couple of the fortune cookies that had been left in the car from a recent trip to a Chinese restaurant.  Josh told him that he could have it once they got out.  They sat on the bench at the park.  Landon opened his cookie and took out the future.  Typically, Landon asks us to read it to him.  He didn't this time, so Josh asked Landon if he wanted him to read it.  Landon said "no I will!."

Landon's fortune (according to Landon)
"Daddy is about to receive beatings."

Landon followed by tackling Daddy.
