Christmas time! All the gatherings and parties

Christmas parties!

I love Christmas parties. You get to see people you care about and have fun.

Christmas Gala
Pictures are soon to come. None of them came out good but I will be getting some from Harvest soon.

The Christmas Gala was beautiful. I love the way Harvest has decided to put on their Christmas service. It is not about the Christmas story but a collections of short plays, music, monologues, and stories about things that surrounds Christmas. Their was beautiful music sung through out the show. John Potts did a great job organizing and performing. There was also a short play down by Joel S. and Mekayla. It was the story of the REAL Santa Claus. Several of the children in that attend Children's Church put on a skit about Christmas. They each held a letter that all together spelled Christmas. They each read off something about Christmas. It was very cute. Their was also a history of Christmas and all the different things associated with Christmas. Josh and I were in a short play called Evensong. It was my first time having a speaking role so I was quite nervous. It was about two individuals who fall in love after a tough life (a lost wife and a single divorced mom). Then my favorite of all was the monologue done by Vernine. She was Mary and said a pray to her baby, Jesus while she rocked him in her arms. I had tears in my eyes, it was awesome!
Afterwards there was a dessert buffet. YUMMY!!! I had a little tummy ache afterwards. I think not eating dinner and loading up on dessert was not the best idea. After the Gala Josh, Brian, Chris, and I went out to Moe's for some real food.

Christmas Party #1 Harvest Ladies
The Womens Group at Harvest put on a Christmas party for all the ladies of Harvest to come to and get dressed up. The party was at Kelly's house. It looked SO beautiful!! We had lots of yummy food, some thanks for my wonderful hubby, Josh. We had a gift swap where Linda read a story and every time she said right or left we had to pass it that direction. It was a neat twist to the Christmas swap. To wrap up everything I started the Secret Sisters. Each lady at Harvest who would like to particiate gets a sister who she will send small gifts or notes to every month. Josh is in charge of keeping all the ladies names together. I am hoping it will go well.

Thanks to John and Natalie for the great jazzy Christmas music!

Thanksgiving

We went to Niceville/Fort Walton Beach for Thanksgiving this year. It is so nice having our parents live 15 minutes away from each other. It gives us time to spend with each side of the family and we all get together for Thanksgiving dinner.

The trip home with 3 kitties and 1 silly dog.

Josh's family made most of the food. I made my green bean casserole and Mom made her yummy chocolate pudding pie. We hung out and talked afterwards. Later when my parents and brother went home we played a game of Cranium and watched Transformers on their huge projector screen. I love it because it feels like we are in the movies but we are all pilled up on the couch.

Yummy Turkey! Talking bout the military Asking random knowledge questions

Talking , enjoy each others company and playing games

The dog relaxing, what they do best!

I was sick most of the trip which is never fun. My parents and me went out shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We only went for myabe 2 hours or so. It Josh stay home because he wasn't feeling good. I would lhave liked Josh to go with us but it was nice being with just my mom and dad. I was stuck hang around the house all day Saturday because of my cold. Josh went over his home to spend some time with his family and especially Jon since he was able to come home for Thanksgiving from the marines.

We hope that all of you were able to spend time with loved ones, family and friends and having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you God for all of our wonderful blessings!

Ohio and Kentucky

Well, our trip to the Missionary Convention was very successful. It got off to a very rocky start but it all ended up good in the end. Plus Josh and I were able to spend some much needed time with just the two of us. We had such a great time together.
The first part of our rough start was the plane ticket dates were wrong. I am not sure if we made the mistake or our travel agent. We had made the plane tickets for a different time and then changed them and when they were changed they were not changed to the correct dates. Lucky wee checked them 2 weeks before the trip. We could not change them without paying a huge amount of extra money so we canceled them and are saving them for a trip in the future. We ended up by driving which wasn't a horrible drive but it was 12 hours and we did it in the middle of the night. I had to work so we didn't leave until 5:30-6pm -ish.
Josh and I were planning on sleeping for a few hours taking a shower and then going to the late afternoon/evening sessions. But while Josh was checking in to the hotel and I was sitting in the car I realized Josh had misread the email about the meeting time. It was in an hour and thirty minutes. So we hurried to our rooms unpack our clothes and shower stuff, jumped in the shower and headed to the Millennium Hotel (the hotel linked to the conference center) and made it to the meeting on time. We were nervous when we got there because we had no idea who anyone was and had only talked to one person by email. Luckily, Doris, the head forwarding agent, who we had talked to through email spotted us and told us what we needed to know before the meeting. It was a 6 hour meeting but it was very informative.
Josh and I met the board members and are now family unit board member (which means we both are on the board but we get one vote). We found out a lot of useful information and are much less nervous about doing things the right way or making a mistake. Everyone on the board are wonderful people. We already feel like family.
After the meeting we were leaving the parking lot and saw this lady fall out of her car when she was trying to get a parking stub. Her foot slipped off the brake so she was dragged all while her car continued to move forward and then run into two parked cars. She was scraped up badly but no bones broken. We made sure she was okay and waited with her until the police came. She was pretty shaken up as you can imagine.
Josh and I were able to sleep in, watch a few movies, and walk around the town of Cincinnati whn were not at the conference. Except for the first day we walked from Kentucky (where our hotel was) to Ohio everyday for the conference. It was so beautiful. I twas about 1.5 miles and we walked over an old suspension bridge. At night walking was very romantic because of all the lights lighting things up. You can see in the pictures almost how pretty it was. Over all we had an amazing time. Even with the rough start it was well worth it.

The bridge we walked over everyday from Kentucky to Ohio

I love the trees along the road and the fall colors.

While we were driving around we saw beautiful town homes. We both loved this one.

Walking in Cincinnati at night. The waterfall was right next to an ice skating rink. Unfortunately, it was not open yet.

While walking around town at night we came across a art museum that was open and free. This was my favorite piece in the gallery.

We went to a night session on Missions in Asia. They had all the people committed to working in missions in Asia stand up and later get on the stage. We also were prayed on by some very nice Polish group of friends. It was really cool because they prayed for us in Polish.

The view in the morning during breakfast at the hotel.

The landing right next to our hotel.

The wall of our htoel that ran along the water (right next to the landing) was covered in beautiful murals of Cinniatti through the last century or more. This is one of my favorites.

Away we go

Many of you Josh and I are going to the Missionary Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. We leave this Wednesday after I get off work. We are both excited to be traveling and getting to meet some people who are also working with North Burma Christian Mission. Our friends from church, Jen and Joel and little adorable son, Evan will also be there. For me it will also be a much needed break and relaxation time. I love teaching but the last few weeks have been stressful. I think Josh has been feeling stressed too. I love traveling with Josh. It gives us time to talk and get to know each of better. Plus it gives us some time just to ourselves. Neither of us have ever been to Cincinnati, Ohio (well I don't think either of us have ever been to Ohio). I love going new places.

I think the only thing that has but a damper on the trip was the traveling method. We are now driving due to a mix up with the air lines travel dates. It is a long story but basically we canceled the plane ticket we had because they were made for the wrong date and are driving there instead.

I will post pictures and let you know how the trip went when we get back!

P.S. We decided to keep the little black and white kitten, who is now named Chaing. Chaing is Thai for strong.

We had found him a home but they changed his mind. Since I spent part of the weekend crying over having to give him aways since I realize how much I had become attached to him, Josh decided that it would be best to keep him. This is the first time I have gotten attached to an animal when I knew we weren't keeping it. He just fits into our family so well.

So the Williams' family is now one bigger bring the total to 8 plus the tons of fish we have.

Bowling/pool, Mark's visit, and cute animals

This weekend was a three day weekend for me which is always nice. Josh and I were able to watch the game together and spend sometime with some of our friends during the weekend.

Friday night Jessica, Andrea, Josh and I went out bowling to Alley Katz. We played a bowled and then played a couple games of pool. Jessica won a free game of bowling. You have to make a sprike when the red pin is in the front. It was the only time she make a strike!

Mark, Josh's friend for over 13 years came down to visit and meet with Santa FE Community College. Mark will be living with us for a semester in the spring while going to school. While he was here we went out to eat with Jimmy and Katie at Mirku's Japanese Steak House. Of course, Josh and Mark played video games in their spare time.

Cinder, Bourbon's Love, came over for a few hours to visit on Saturday morning. Bourbon loves her so much. He gives her kisses and follows her everywhere. She plays shy in the beginning but normally gives in and then starts playing with Bourbon.

Here is a few pictures of the little kitten Josh and I are taking care of until we find him a home or we decide to keep him. He has a few pet names but we are tring to hold off naming him unless we decide to keep him. Some of his names so far are "little Guy, little dude, kitten, Thor, and Zeus.
