Landon is 18 months!

Boy, has time gone by! Landon turned 18 month March 16th. It is hard to believe that Landon is already a year and a half.

Landon had a great check up at the doctors. He even got to have friend come along. Landon had his first sleep over with his friends, Mekalya and Zack. They came with Landon to his Doctors appointment in the morning. It was good training for me to see if I really want to have 4 kids. It actually was a lot of fun. They were all so cute. Landon and Zack had to hold hands the whole time we walked from one place to another. It was nice to have two other people to entertain Landon while waiting for the doctor. Dr. Carter was very impressed with Landon. His should her where all his body parts were and said "ahhh" when she needed to look in his month.
He got an all clear and great health from the doctor. We also got the Hep A shot since we will be traveling out of the country this summer. (Thailand Summer Mission trip 2010!!!)

Landon's stats were
Head circumference: 19.5 inchs- 75%
Height: 32.5 inches- 50%
Weight: 22.5 lbs -5%

After his doctor's appointment we meet Brian, Josh and Dynah at the park.

Although few get to hear them Landon does talk quite a bit. I think he gets shy when he is around people. Daddy hears almost as much as I do, but when we are at home during the day this kid rarely stops talking!

Here are some of Landon's words

Mum, Momma

Ben
Landon (he leave the d out a lot though)
Daddy at wor (He has a hard time with the harder sounds)
one, two (most of the time he uses his fingers though)
five (which he know comes after 4)

He also can say a few Thai words

He can say hello and he knows to bow and fold his hands
he can almost say thank you
and he can say silly or crazy

Animals sounds for cow, cat, dog, sheep, goat, elephant, bear, tiger, lion (well basically every animal that roars)
Letter sounds for s, t, r, a, b ,m, n

He also make lots of sentences with the word and signs he knows
Here are a few examples

"mom" and then signs help, then points to himself
or "Mom" and then points to himself, signs eat, and then says "breakfast"

Here are some of the new things Landon does or things that we love.

Landon loves giving kisses and hugs he attempts to sign "I love you"
Once he starts giving hugs, kisses, high fives, or knuckle bumps he has to give them to everyone in the house or room including the cats and dog.
He is always very concerned if another child is upset or the animals are upset and tries to comfort them.

Landon also loves to sing. He sings some of the words to "Jesus loves me"
He asks for the music to be turned up if he likes a song and hums to many songs plus claps his hands to the beat.

Coloring is one of Landon's favorite things to do. We color almost everyday. We also blow bubbles everyday.

I have several scrapbooks that we look at together. He can point out all his friends and each of our pets.

Landon also loves to be silly. He likes to trick people too. He will go around saying everyone's name (Mum, Daddy, Chang, Ressie, Bourbon) and then he will start changing the names and smirk. If I say "Hey that's not my name!" he burst out laughing!. I think that is so cute!
He will also pretend to start giving you a hug or a kiss and then hide. He thinks that is really funny too.

Landon loves cars and trucks! We have to run outside every Monday to see the garbage truck, yard waste truck, and recycling truck.

The most adorable example, Josh and I thought, was when we had to bring Landon in the ER for difficulty breathing. (Everything turned out OK he just had to have a breathing treatment and some steroids because he bronchial tubes became inflamed.) While we were at the ER there was anther girl a month older than Landon with a similar thing who was not taking the treatments as well. Landon hear her crying and yelling and he Said "mom" signed help, and then pointed to where the girl was and said "baby." He was very persistent on me helping her. He didn't stop telling me this until Dad, Landon and I went over to talk to the mom and little girl. I guess he thought after this that we helped her.

He is growing up so fast and we are so proud of him!

Sounds like Landon is a fun and super smart 18 month old. I really think they just keep getting more and more fun as they say and imagine more. Sorry you had to go to the ER but glad it turned out well. Miss you guys.
